Pole Tong is an electric utility lineworker tool designed to grab and handle, rotate or guide utility wood poles while installing or removing the poles. The tong’s handles are constructed of 1.5″ diameter ASTM F711 hotstick (same fiberglass material as other Rauckman Utility hotline tools).
The jaws section of the pole tong is made of lightweight yet heavy-duty aluminum alloy. The pole tong’s engagement teeth are made of high-carbon steel and are easily removable for sharpening or replacement.
The insulating portion of these tools meet ASTM F-711 and are constructed of electrical grade fiberglass reinforced thermoset resins that surround a uni-cell foam core.
