Continuously remove the clear plastic liner as you install the tape.

While installing the tape stretch the tape slightly to maintain a good wrap. Do not exceed approximately 10% elongation.

For a good adhesion it is recommended to start by double wrapping the first loop.

Continue by overlapping the tape by 2/3 of the width.

Always use a utility knife to cut the tape.

Do not pull the tape exceedingly or try to tear it by pulling on the tape.

Installation Tips:

  • When applied, the tape temperature must be above 32°F (0°C) to ensure adhesion. Keep tape warm by carrying it in coat pocket.
  • Stretch the tape only enough to provide a smooth wrap.
  • Smooth each wrapped layer with your hands to ensure full adhesion.
  • For cable splicing and terminations begin with preparing the cable using a company approved cable preparation cleaner or solvent.
